Although simulated diamonds, or fake diamonds, as they are sometimes called,
are much cheaper than real diamonds, they are just as hard and long lasting.
Mined diamonds have a rating or 10 on the hardness scale, fake diamonds
are right behind with a hardness rating of 9.0-9.7.

In real diamonds you get variations in color and clarity, but when you
choose lower cost fake diamonds, neither the color nor the clarity
will change. The color of simulated diamonds ranges from D-F. You
can even have a larger stone with simulated diamonds, which will make
it more noticeable.

There are several types of simulated or lab grown diamonds you can
look at when you decide to choose diamonds simulants over real diamonds.
There are fake diamonds that combine non-precious stones with
infused amorphous diamonds. The infused diamonds in our simulated/ fake diamonds
are tiny diamond crystals that are all aligned together.

Some simulated/ fake diamonds are often called cultured diamonds because they
so closely resemble real diamonds. However, simulated/ fake diamonds are not mined,

diamonds. Simulated/ fake diamonds cost significantly less (5-10%) of what you
would pay for the same size of real diamond. Although cubic zirconium
closely resemble the real thing, simulated/ fake diamonds are free of the negative
qualities that you will find in these other man-made diamonds. Experts say
that simulated/ fake diamonds are the best naturally mined diamond alternative on the market.

There is a hard outer coating on simulated diamonds. The wear factor associated
with simulated/ fake diamonds is the same as for sapphires. When you purchase loose
simulated/ fake diamonds or ones set in gold, platinum or titanium, you receive
a lifetime warranty on the stone. This means you don´t have to worry about
any additional costs if you notice color changes or if the simulated
diamond loses its brilliance. The warranty shows you that the manufacturer
has confidence that these things will not happen to their particular brand
of diamond simulant. Even over a long period of time, you will not notice
any dulling of diamond simulants.
