Rather than starting a discussion on the concept of a Diamond Simulant with the cliché of how diamonds are a woman´s best friend we could start with discussing what exactly defines a diamond simulant. To start with a diamond simulant is a look alike of diamonds. The difference between a synthetic diamond and a diamond simulant is know very little by common people but for the trained eye a diamond simulant is of slightly higher value than a synthetic variant. The concept of a diamond simulant came to be explored after French Chemist Henry Moisson around 1892. A diamond simulant can be understood in very simple terms as a stone that is most similar to the diamond, lesser in quality but other aspects such as cut, clarity etc are similar. A diamond stimulant in other words is a lab simulation of the natural diamond stone. A diamond is perfect white when it glitters but a diamond stimulant has a slight yellowish tinge to its glitter.
A Diamond stimulant is preferred as it can be the perfect replacement for expensive and hassling diamonds. If what gemologists say is to be taken for their face value, one needs to exercise a world of caution while buying diamonds owing to the effect it can have on a person´s life whereas while buying a diamond simulant, one gets the goodness of diamond minus the worries and concerns of any negative effect. Many gemologists believe that the concept of a diamond simulant can be likened to cloning where original cell fragments result in a complete body of nature identical matter, similarly the same elements that go into evolution of a diamond are used in making a diamond simulant. Highly functional, affordable price range; extremely user friendly and lab tested thoroughly are some of the many advantages of buying a diamond simulant. So have you gone the diamond simulant way yet?
